The 2006 bushfire decimated our local wildlife but slowly they are growing in numbers.

We have resident wallabies, kangaroos and wombats.

You will also see the sea eagles glide in over the beach looking for food usually in the afternoons.

We also have a local parrot population that love eating the cooch grass, during the season, apparently it makes them feel all warm and fuzzy.

Black cockatoos also come to visit us as do pelicans.

The lake is a haven for wild ducks and swans. Plus the cormorants don't mind snacking on our trout from time to time

Our large property features numerous nocturnal wildlife which can on most nights be easily viewed with a quiet walk and a torch.

However if you want to get up close and personal to a tassie devil, the Eastcoast Natureworld is only a 20 minute drive from White Sands.
